Smart Approach: Applications using LightsOn™ conform to a logical, semantic view of the relationships between “groups”, “enclosures”,  “asset entities” and their interrelations. These basic building blocks inter-relate as follows:

Examples of Groups, Enclosures and Assets

Groups: Logical groupings of other groups/enclosures i.e. Division, Company, etc such as “Organization” e.g. a company, a farm, a freight liner or a casino

Enclosures: A sub-division of a Group with other attributes that can be nested within a Group. Information pertaining to enclosures is captured as is their geographic position. Examples of enclosures are a datacenter, a barn or a cargo container.

Assets: The physical entities that are being monitored, managed and tracked.
